I have been playing this new game, Dressmaker, and I swear I am in LOVE with this game. (●♡∀♡) As of writing this, it just came out on Monday, today is Wednesday, noon for me, and I have already put a total of 17+ hours into the game. ʅ（´◔౪◔）ʃ Like, I love this game so much, I find it so fun and relaxing and I swear it's healing something in my inner child or something because I just get so immersed in it. I see the clock, it's 11PM and I'm like, "Oh, I'll just play another hour," and I play and it feels like it's been maybe 30 minutes and I look at the clock again and it's 1:30AM. ╭( ๐_๐)╮

The gameplay loop is simple, you get a customer into your dress shop, they tell you about themselves, tell you what they need a dress for, and you make it. It's pretty straight forward with how you make the dresses, and you can add additional embellishments if you want, or not, it feels like it's completely up to you, as long as you hit the wants of the character. (✿◠‿◠) Sometimes I make them a dress that is just me sewing together the needed fabric types and colors and that's it. Sometimes, I add a bunch of lace trim or buttons or whatever else, but no matter which I do, they always look so cute! 〔´∇｀〕 My only complaint is that I wish there was a generic person model with some generic walking and/or sitting animations so that I can see the outfits in movement and on a person and not just the mannequin. ( ﾟｰﾟ) But honestly, that is just a personal thing and doesn't take away the fun at all; the sounds are so satisfying, working the sewing machine feels so good, there are no timers or goals, you just make them and complete them when you want. ヽ(♡‿♡)ノ You could even spend time making dresses that go to no one! You just can do that and ignore the character/story and there's no penalty for getting back to the story ones when you feel like it, it's amazing. ♡＼(￣▽￣)／♡

As a child, I wanted to be a fashion designer. While I am still an artist, I'm pretty decent at drawing, I quickly figured out that I would not have made a very good fashion designer because I was really bad at creating unique, interesting, and realistic clothing. ┐(ﾟ ～ﾟ )┌ So I gave that up pretty quickly. Then as an older teenager to young adult, I tried my hand at sewing. I learned how to sew by hand and even made some small plushies and very simple costumes, but that's it. (っ´ω｀c) Then in my mid-twenties I got a sewing machine after I moved out of my parents house and in with my at-the-time boyfriend, now spouse, and I used it a little, made a whole cross body messenger bag thing and accessories for a Team Aqua cosplay. (´∀`) Then I never really used it again. (^◇^；) And that's kind of how it's been, on and off. I think there's a part of me that still wants to make pretty clothes, and this game is genuinely fulfilling that wish right now. (◕ᴗ◕✿)
