terms & privacy
last updated july 2026. this is a small, independently run hobby site, not a company, so this is written in plain language on purpose instead of dense legal boilerplate. it covers the real stuff, not filler.
who runs this
cybersoda.blog is built and run by one person. there's no company behind it, no ad network, no data broker relationship. if you have a question, email hello@cybersoda.blog and a real person will read it.
what gets collected
- your email and password, used only to log you in (handled by supabase, see below)
- whatever you put in your profile: username, display name, tagline, avatar, colors, custom css
- content you choose to post: blog posts, comments, guestbook entries, forum threads and replies, shouts
- basic technical data any website gets: ip address, browser type, page views, collected through vercel's analytics, which doesn't use tracking cookies
there's no advertising, no analytics profile built for marketing, and nothing here is sold to anyone.
who else touches your data
two infrastructure providers host the site and never see it for any purpose beyond that:
- supabase runs the database and login system
- vercel hosts the site itself and its basic traffic analytics
what you can do about it
edit or delete your own posts, comments, and profile info any time. block another member if you don't want to hear from them. disable or permanently delete your entire account from your settings page, deleting is immediate and irreversible. report anything that shouldn't be here using the report button next to it.
public by default
most of what you post here is public and can be seen by anyone, including search engines, unless you specifically mark a post private. guestbook entries, comments, and forum posts are always public. don't post anything here you wouldn't want indexed by google.
age
this site isn't intended for anyone under 13.
the rules
be a real person, don't impersonate someone else, don't spam, don't post anything illegal or intended to harass another member. accounts that do get disabled. that's it, that's the whole code of conduct.
changes
if this page changes in any way that matters, it'll change here, this is always the current version. this document is meant to be honest and readable, not a substitute for real legal advice if this site ever needs it.
