what got you into infosec (or just tell me your worst CTF rage quit)
new topic needs a first thread and a boring welcome post felt like the wrong way to open a security forum. so instead, genuinely curious what got people into this stuff. a specific CTF, a bug bounty payout, breaking something you weren't supposed to, too many conference talks at 2am, whatever it was for you. also curious what people think about LLM jailbreaking as its own thing now. it feels different from classic exploit dev, closer to social engineering a very confident intern than finding a buffer overflow. if anyone here is doing actual red team work on models instead of just poking at chatgpt for fun, would love to hear how you got into that.
